The Warriors broke open a close game in the second half, beating Cowanesque Valley 41-6 in football action Friday.
Canton took an early lead as Wes Moore scored a 2-yard touchdown. The Brian Jannone extra point put the Warriors up 7-0.
CV struck back as Luke Plummer scampered 17 yards for a touchdown. They didn't get the 2-point conversion but cut the deficit to 7-6.
Then just before the half Moore scored on an 11-yard run. After the Jannone kick Canton led 14-6 at the break.
Late in the third quarter Canton made it 21-6 as Tim Bassett ran 52 yards to paydirt while Jannone added the point after.
Eddie Larcom ran in a 1-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. With the Jannone kick Canton started to pull away 28-6.
Bassett had another long run followed by the Jannone kick to put Canton up 35-6. The final score at the end of regulation as Chase Pepper intercepted a pass and ran it back 96 yards for a touchdown to win 41-6.
