The season came to an end for the North Penn Panthers on Friday as they fell to North Schuylkill 28-6 in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Pat Gownley put North Schuylkill up with a 49-yard fumble return and Keegan Hubler hit the extra point to make it 7-0.
Luke Kelly got North Penn on the board as he hauled in a seven-yard touchdown from Bo Burleigh. The two-point pass failed and it was 7-6.
Auston Hummel scored on an eight-yard run for North Schuylkill, and the kick was blocked and Matt Smarkanic capped the scoring for North Schuylkill, scoring on runs of three and one yards.
Smarkanic caught the two-point pass from Bobby Grigas on the first touchdown and Hubler hit the extra point on the next one.
Bryce Zaparzynski led North Penn's rushing attack with 74 yards on 16 carries and Burleigh was 13-for-26 for 69 yards.
Zaparzynski had five catches for 32 yards and Kelly caught three passes for 43 yards. Brady Andrews had three catches in the game.
Hummel led North Schuylkill with 186 yards on 23 carries and Grigas gained 44 yards on nine carries, while Smarkanic had 39 yards on 10 carries.
North Schuylkill ran for 306 yards in the game.
Grigas was 3-for-9 for 52 yards passing.
Zaparzynski had an interception in the game for North Penn.
