The Canton Warriors scored 24 points in the second quarter on their way to a 60-35 win at Bucktail on Friday.
The Warriors snapped a four-game losing skid with the win and improved to 2-4 on the year.
Canton ran for 337 yards in the game, with James Bowman gaining 162 yards and four scores on 20 carries and Gavin Hoffman running 13 times for 108 yards.
Bowman started the scoring at 4:39 of the first quarter when Bowman scored on a 55-yard run. Malachi Washington caught the two-point pass from Ridge Moore and it was 8-0.
Bucktail answered to tie the game at 11:47 of the second quarter when Mike Casper scored on a one-yard run and Blake Cannon caught a two-point pass from Casper.
Ridge Moore scored on a one-yard run for Canton at 6:27 and Bryce Cole caught the two-point pass from Moore as Canton made it 16-8.
Washington caught a 17-yard pass from Moore and Moore had a two-point run at 4:14 to make it 24-8.
Bucktail got a 64-yard touchdown run from Casper at 3:48 and the two-point try failed and it was 24-14.
Cole capped the first half scoring with a 10-yard run at 1:25 and Hoffman ran in the two-point try to make it 32-14 at the half.
Canton started the third quarter with an eight-yard run from Bowman at 7:25 and Bowman had the two-point run to make it 40-14.
Bucktail got a score as Casper hit Josh Knauff on a 37-yard pass play at 2:57 of the third quarter and Keifer Mason caught the two-point pass from Casper to make it 40-22.
Bowman had a one-yard run at 1:51 and Hoffman had the two-point run to make it 48-22.
Bowman had another one-yard score at 10:09 of the fourth quarter and the two-point try failed and it was 54-22.
Knauff caught a 60-yard pass from Casper with 9:34 left and the two-point try failed and it was 54-28.
Bowman had a four-yard run with 5:34 left and the two-point try failed and it was 60-28.
Bucktail capped the game's scoring with 4:55 left when Anthony Intallura scored on a one-yard run and Casper hit the extra point.
Along with the rushing by Bowman and Hoffman the Warriors got 33 yards and a score from Moore and 29 yards and a score from Cole.
Moore was 8-for-10 passing for 97 yards.
Washington had three catches for 54 yards and a score and Cole had two catches for 10 yards. Bowman and Gabe Barnett each had an 18-yard catch and Hoffman had a seven-yard catch.
Casper threw for 287 yards and two scores for Bucktail and Knauff hauled in four passes for 133 yards, while Mason had four catches for 48 yards and Cannon had three grabs for 34 yards.
Casper ran for 90 yards and two scores for Bucktail.
