WESTFIELD — Canton scored in every quarter on their way to a 42-7 win over Cowanesque Valley on Friday night.
Malachi Washington scored the first three touchdowns for the Warriors.
Washington started things with a 21-yard run and Ridge Moore ran in the two-point try.
Washington then scored on a 30-yard run to make it 14-0 after one quarter when the two-point try failed.
In the second quarter Washington scored on an 11-yard run and the two-point try failed.
James Bowman scored on an 8-yard run to make it 26-0 at the half.
Bryce Cole hauled in a 70-yard touchdown from Moore in the third quarter and Gavin Hoffman ran in the two-point try to make it 34-0.
Canton had a 51-yard fumble return for a score in the fourth quarter and they ran in a two-point try, before CV got on the board on a 17-yard run in the fourth.
Moore was 6-for-8 passing for 137 yards and a score.
Washington ran for 103 yards and three scores on 15 carries, while Bowman ran for 72 yards and a score on 11 tries. Hoffman had eight runs for 62 yards, Cole had two carries for 14 yards and Moore ran two times for 8 yards.
Cole had five catches for 113 yards and a score. Levi Gaiotti had one catch for 24 yards. Cole had an interception for Canton in the win.
